In Edmonton the competition is pretty fierce. It’s top level jank or no jank at all.

one question tho someone at my lgs runs boros burn and it seems like a really bad matchup. your thoughts? i threw 3 dispels in the side but im thinking that may be a little much
The dispels seem like a good meta call. Sin collector might also do something for you in the SB.

can you explain your sideboard? what cards are you swapping in and out, and for what matches are you doing the side boarding for? Mono black? Mono blue? Bant Walkers? White Winnie, Green Monsters, Red Burn?

How about an update on this deck ever since Journey into Nyx is out. Seems like Deicide could be a great inclusion

Ever since I heard of this deck, I’ve been playing it competitively. I’ve changed the list so many times and included so many jank cards like Quicken + Enter the Infinite. I’ve even altered my Codex Shredders to look like Shredder from Ninja Turtles, and my Azorius Charms now look just like the logo on this website with the No-Fun face. I’m really in to this deck!
With the release of M15, let me share with you guys my latest FUN POLICE deck build.
:::::::FUN POLICE MAIN BOARD:::::::
4 azorius charm (fun police staple. I personally like 2-3 this card but it does offer a lot of synergy with ashiok. lifelink your opponent’s stolen creatures and recover. bounce anything you don’t like and steal it with ashiok next turn, or mil it with the shredder. your call! when in doubt, draw a card and mana-fix yourself quicker!)
4 jace architect of thought (because card advantage. also because your guys are -1/-0 and i don’t take a million damage the turn before I can use aetherspouts)
1 elspeth suns champion (because win condition)
3 ashiok nightmare weaver (sick synergy with aetherspouts and codex shredder and amazing against courser of kruphix and scry decks. also… who cares about maze’s end anymore with this guy in the main board? trololololll oh that’s cute! opponent put in slaughter games. guess it’s exiled…)
3 aetherspouts (sick synergy with ashiok and codex shredder. also the reason i only play 7 scry lands instea of 10-12. we really want our turn 5 play to be an untapped land so we can totally blow out our opponent.)
2 supreme verdict (we really wanna blow stuff up)
2 heros downfall (we really wanna blow stuff up)
2 syncopate (i think 2 is good for the turn 2 crowd control)
1 dissipate (get rid of chandra’s phoenix forever lol. also good in mirror match. bye bye elixir of immortality!)
3 dissolve (4 is too many if we’re playing dissipate)
2 codex shredder (fun police staple! because scry lands lol. i personally prefer 3, and have 3 altered ones, but i’m trying out this card as a 2-of because the deck designer said it worked. make sure not to kill their courser of kruphix!)
2 bile blight (with urborg in the format and also in this deck, this spell is easy to cast on turn 2 and wrecks a lot of decks in the format. imagine only taking one damage from stormbreath dragon.. and those coursers you don’t really wanna kill will hit for zero. most everything else bites the dust though.)
1 ulcerate (one mana kill spell that shuts down aggro and madcap skills and mana ramp in game 1? check!)
1 elixir of immortality (staple in fun police. only ever play more than 1 if you splash red for shrapnel blast)
3 sphinxs revelation (4 is probably too many vs. blitz and other fast decks. i never want to see this card until turn 5 and aggro wants you dead by turn 4. with azorius charm and jace boats, we always see this 3-of staple)
3 watery grave (3 is a good number for this one because we play urborg)
1 temple of deceit (really could use 2 or 3 in the deck. wouldn’t recommend going past 10 scry land in this build)
4 hallowed fountains (super relevant)
2 temple of enlightenment (really could use 3 or 4 but traded them off for other staples)
4 caves of koilos (notice no godless shrine. because it’s the only pain land out in our colors and we have colorless artifacts we don’t wanna pay life to get out early most of our sideboard white generates life and black kills threats to our life total so pain land seems reasonable)
4 temple of silence (because i was short on some of the other temples)
2 mana confluence (A 2-OF MUST HAVE!! ashiok rips stormbreath dragon and mana confluence lets you monstrous it! monstrous polukranos! use any of the M15 Souls’ abilities pretty much! when none of this epic stuff is happening, it STILL generates double black, double white or double blue for you!! mana fixing in this deck is super important in the early game where you are the most vulnerable.)
1 urborg tomb of yawgmoth (so far i like this as a one-of to generate double black on turn 2)
1 encroaching wastes (only need 1 to get the job done)
3 island (blue is super important with aetherspouts and jace in the deck)
1 plains (second most important basic land because urborg does the rest for you and we’re playing a LOT of wb lands)
2 raise the alarm (plus 2 soldier tokens — good vs control, aggro, madcap skills, white weenie)
1 blind obedience (vs haste decks, chandra’s phoenix, stormbreath dragon, xenagos walker tokens… and doubles as a late-game win condition because extort)
1 deicide (vs gods, enchantment control, but NOT courser of kruphix because we like him being in play)
2 negate (vs walkers, combo, discard, brave the elements, red burn and boros burn, madcap skills)
1 gainsay (vs ashiok, sphinx rev, aetherling, counter control)
1 doomblade (really effective vs rg monsters and jund monsters)
2 wall of essence (mostly vs white weenie and red weenie)
2 nyx-fleece ram (vs burn and red weenies)
1 heros downfall (extra walker hate and rg monster hate)
2 blood baron of vizkopa (for orzhov weenies, mono white or mono black)
